1926 Rudge-Whitworth 26″ Gent’s Roadster
28″ Wheels
(Now sold – to the National Theatre Props Dept)
This 1926 Rudge 26″ Roadster is a good rider. It has a later three-speed hub fitted, which makes it more usable.

I don’t think it’s original paint; it looks like it was repainted a long time ago.

The head badge is readable.

The brake linkage looks correct.
It sports lightweight Rudge mudguards that are distinctive with their angular shape.

My mechanic has serviced it, so tyres and inner tubes are good.
Frame number 945772 S was recently verified by the marque specialist as of January or February 1926 manufacture.

Hopefully I’ve taken enough photos for you to appreciate what this big old beast is like. If you have any questions, or need larger pictures of a particular area of the bike, please phone or email me.
